Initiated at the behest of a good friend and producer of mine, I began writing a few more shorts to to produce. Lately we’ve been going around the Town pitching my scripts with me as director attached. Good news is that people are responding to the scripts positively. The bad news is that my resume is solidly reality TV, or at least has been the last few years.
Enter Deceit. Having been on a noir kick lately, I decided to not break precedent and actually create one from the ground up. That way, we could show people bigger than us that I was at least capable of thinking like a narrative director. Better yet, they could see that I can take a seed of an idea, follow through and execute that idea effectively. Consider it a resume builder.
I’ll not give too much away now, considering I’m still in post production, but I will leave you with a few screen captures below. Please note that nothing has been color corrected yet. This is straight out of the Red One camera.
