In October, 2006, I and my close friend Jeremy Weiss went on a little adventure called, A Dollar a Day.
A Dollar a Day is the brain child Brett Jones and Daniel Rios, two lifelong friends who slave away in the States only to facilitate their true passions, travel and cultural immersion. Their belief, however, is that in order to truly dip yourselves into the societal fabric, you’ve got to do it poor, hence, their one dollar a day rule.
This methodology eventually birthed the concept of documenting the experience and turning it into a reality television pilot, where we explore a country on a seven day adventure with our two heroes, while only allowing them to spend one dollar per day. The rest has to be begged, borrowed or stolen!
