“Solitary is a reality show on the Fox Reality Channel whose contestants were kept in solitary confinement. It was the channel’s first original series commission with its debut on May 29, 2006. Solitary 4.0 premiered on January 30, 2010 and ended on March 20, 2010. Due to the demise of Fox Reality, fans of the show are currently attempting to petition other networks to take up the show for further seasons. Chiller has plans to rerun the first four seasons. If they do well, a fifth season may be commissioned. A German version is broadcast on German TV channel ProSieben.”

- Simultaneously directing up to 3 hand-held cameras at any given time while…
- Coordinating my department, camera, audio and story (producers) with what story we are shooting at any given time.
Solitary was one of the strangest shows I’ve had the pleasure of working on. I’m not prone to claustrophobia, but watching these contestants gave me a healthy enough dose to last a lifetime.
